Student Design work on Display at Alpha Print
Dinkytown was recently the subject matter for an art project by students from the College of Design Color and Form in Surface Design class. Led by James Boyd Brent, each student’s challenge in this screen print poster project was to create a visual response to Dinkytown. They were asked to engage with the qualities that make up a sense of place — the history, culture, social life, commercial life, and so on. The handmade screen prints were printed in limited editions of six prints, and consist of three or four screen layers.
The work is on display at Alpha Print until the end of July. Prints are available for purchase for $10. More information about the project can be found on the College of Design’s website. Photos by: Katie Thering Photography
